Hi!,
How can i "reset" PF so when i start it, it doesn´t hang? Is there a way in wich i can delete it´s preferences?

Sometimes PF hangs and i have to reset my palm (z22). After that, the only way i can use PF again is deleting it from the palm, delete it from my computer (from the syncronization folder of the palm desktop) and installing it again.

Thanks in advance!

Im having this same problem with the latest version on my Tungsten T3. It doesnt "hang" but it just doesnt load up and it goes back to my launcher screen. The only way to get it to work again is to completely remove Palmfiction from my device and reinstal.

CheloXL, use any file manager for PalmOS. Such as Resco Explorer, Palm Insider and so on... There is at least one freeware file manager able to work with preferences - FileZ.

But I think both of you will help deleting all of palmfiction related databases. Use any file manager for that.

I use TX and I deleted the preference files, and it still doesn't work. It simply goes back to the launcher screen. What am I doing wrong? Which files should I have in my machine? Is this not compatible with TX? I am talking about the latest one. 0.13a

It works just fine on my TX - have you installed all the files needed?

PalmFiction.prc
EnGB.pdb or EnUS.pdb
pfDefaultThemeHI16.prc
pfUI_EN.prc
Weasel_hyphen_English.pdb
Arial16-WestEurope.PDB
Times16-WestEurope.PDB

This should work for a TX for UK/US

Ok, sorry for jumping someone elses thread, but I seem to be unable to post a new topic.

I've been having recurring problems running PalmFiction 0.13a on my Tapwave Zodiac, and I've finally managed to narrow it down to the second SD card being inserted while PalmFiction is running.

If I insert the SD card whilst PalmFiction is running, it locks the Zodiac solid and I need to reset. If I have the SD card inserted and then start PalmFiction it locks the Zodiac solid and I need to reset.

No idea if it's the card or a particular file on the card yet, I'll try and find that out later.

Ah yes, a definite sign of the end. First no activity on these boards/PalmFiction for many months, now here come the spammers.
