Love Palmfiction....my favorite reader. But, on my Treo 650, when run from the SD card via Powerrun, it locks up randomly during scrolling. I've just transferred it into RAM to see if that sorts the issue. Has anyone else run into this issue?

Thanks,
Macros

Ive used PowerRun for years now and I find that certain programs will just not run correctly when using it. Not many but a few. Did your problem get resolved when you moved it to ram?

I've found that the actual issue isn't with scrolling but with "waking up". I.e. if I put the Palm down and it dims the screen to save power then it will either freeze immediately upon reboot, or shortly after scrolling begins. I've reproduced this many times on my Treo 650 when running with Powerrun. It also happens when running from RAM. I'm wondering if it is a conflict with Fontsmoother. I'll experiment and get back.

The above message is me too by the way. Sorry about that. SO the issue is a conflict with Fontsmoother4 os 5 that I'm using with YAHM. It works with all my other readers and works with Palmfiction as long as I don't let it 'sleep.' I'd love for the authors to fix this issue because books are SO much more readable in smoothed bookman :D

Thanks all,
Macros

Speak more simply. I don't understand you.

Sorry Palmfiction....let me see if I can break it down.
When I run Palmfiction with Fonts4OS5 installed with fontsmoother, Palmfiction freezes up the Palm (requiring a soft reset) if I allow the screen to shut off (my screen shuts off after 30 seconds of inactivity). Does that make sense? If I can clarify anything let me know. I LOVE your program.

Disable Fonts2OS5 and FontSmoother for PalmFiction.

PalmFiction have own smoothed fonts which more better than FontSmoother. Use PalmFictionFontConverter to make your own fonts from Windows TTF or Type1 fonts

Thanks for the tip. I installed some fonts and they do look amazing. Great tool. But I'd still love the conflict to be solved....I can't run Palm4OS5 on any of the rest of my system if I turn it off for Palmfiction. Since Palm Fiction is more important at this point, I don't mind....but for future releases.....

Thanks again, Amazing app!!!
