Categories was broken since PaFi 0.08, any bugs was not accepted. Do not use it, use directories on memory cards, directories in ZIP.

I have managed to create some categories OK, but whenever I tap 'send items to "category"' button, I get a message saying 'fatal alert DataMgr.c, line:11444, Index out of range' and have to do a soft reset.
Is there a way to make this work? I'm running PF 0.14i on a Tungsten E2.
There may be some confusion about terminology. As far as I can tell, a PalmFiction "category" isn't the same thing as a Palm category. PalmFiction can navigate the file system on the card, and view documents in any directory.
It appears to use directories on the card as categories, and Category/New will attempt to create a directory on the card below the one PF is currently looking at.
I find it simpler to use a Palm file manager like FileZ to create the directories, and place the documents I want in that directory there with it.
I essentially don't use PF's catalog function.

In file list many bugs. Category not recomended. In "Catalog" tap icon "New" on bottom toolbar. Enter category name in dialog.

Greetings,
I notice there is an option to categorize documents, but I cannot figure out how to create categories. Can someone help me out?
Thanks
