do you know any other solution? the one you mentioned above only works for OS 5 and above, and my m125 can only be upgraded to OS 4.
Unless someone here knows how to hack and get OS 5 on m125. |

Try using OnGuard Backup. You can set it to backup just PalmFiction when you close the program. Then you can easily restore it instead of a full restore of your palm.
Here is a link to the program:

I tried what you said, It's a alternative solution. But it's really annoying, you have to spend like 2 min to back it up, switch the batteries, then spend another 2 min to restore.
I don't really mind doing what you said, but the backing up and restoring is really annoying after a while. Especially because I want to keep my most recent bookmarks and whatnot, and if I restore from a previous copy, the newer bookmark and settings will be... gone.
My palm can only last about 10h with backlight on, without back light... no clue. Plus I read alot at night and I keep my shades close at daytime... so I constantly use backlight, I can see the test clearer this way. so I have to charge once every 1-2 days.
So I'm still looking for the implementation of saving databases/setting on the external memory card. |

Use any FileManager and save PalmFiction configuration Databases manually.
PF don't use Preferences, it uses own databases. |

I think the developer should have a function to save/load settings to/from the external memory card for buggy old palms that destroys memory immediately after battery is removed.
Hotsync is too troublesome, laptops aren't meant for loading thing up with utilities like hotsync trays. so I only use the sd card.
just a suggestion. |
