Forum index » English » Which PF files to install from zip folder?

Hi! I just downloaded PF and extracted the zip'd file. There are many, many files in this folder. Do I need them all? I read in English, so I probably won't use Times 16-Cyrillic. Is there a list of which files to install?

An additional note:

At first, I installed only the file entitled Palmfiction palm app 135k)
and got a buzzing sound, and white screen- had to soft reset.

then I installed everything- same result.

I am using a tapwave Zodiac (1).

At a minimum you need to install the main palmfiction.prc, a skin (I use pfDefaultThemeHI16.prc, but you can install all if you desire), and a language file (most likely pfUI_EN.prc if your desired language is English). Most of the other files are fonts and are optional.

Have you ever heard of a circumstance where one gets this buzzing sound when one tries to launch PF. I just tap on the Palm Trees and then get a white screen and this BBBUUUZZZZZZZZZZZZING!
I've downloaded the PF zip file twice (and installed/ reinstalled) twice) no changes! Just noise!

Any further help would be appreciated.

PS-
I just went to Tapland (home of Zodiac owners!) and read about issues with noise/ crashing when 2 cards are used. I tried removing one of my SD cards, and started PF.
It started just fine! (very very nice, BTW) Any ideas why it hates the second card?
